Turkish Mining Association (TMD)’s “Responsible Miner Initiative” Preparation took place in collaboration with TEİD. A booklet under 4 themes has been prepared for companies:
- Business Ethics & Transparency
- Health & Safety
- Nature & Ecosystem
- Social Dialogue and local development
Together with the principles, an internal assessment protocol has also been shared with companies. A checklist has been prepared for the sector – the checklist is TEİD’s selfIN adaptation to the mining sector and risks to be covered by responsible miners.
The TMD Board of Directors will now approve the prepared booklet and checklist and then disseminate to their corporate members and their business partners. It is also planned to launch widely this initiative during a conference.
